SEOUL, Apr. 17 (Yonhap) -- Girl group 2NE1 performed a surprise stage as a whole for the first time in 7 years at the “Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival,” a famous music festival held in California, USA on the 17th (KST).

According to the music industry, the 4 members of 2NE1 went on stage and sang their hit song “I Am the Best.”

It is the first stage with all of the members in 7 years since the performance in “Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA)” held in 2015.

2NE1, who debuted in 2009, received a lot of love from songs including “Fire,” “I Don’t Care,” and “UGLY.” They announced their disbandment in November 2016 and released their last song “GOOD BYE” in January of the following year.

The stage was held as the leader of 2NE1, CL was invited to the Coachella Festival. At the end of CL’s stage, the rest of the three members, Minzy, Sandara Park, and Park Bom, made a surprise appearance for their fans.

“The members always had a strong will for the stage as a whole, so they have been discussing about the right occasions,” an official from the music industry said. “CL was the one who planned for this stage.”
