SEOUL, July 8 (Yonhap) -- Global luxury beauty brand Sulwhasoo launched a special exhibition, "Crafted for Summer, The Aesthetics of Summer," at Bukchon Sulwhasoo House from July 7 to Aug. 30.
The exhibition explores the essence of summer through Sulwhasoo's perspective, interpreting the season's distinct atmosphere through Korean craft. It reimagines the layered beauty of summer -- where intense heat and deep shadows coexist -- with Korean aesthetics expressed throughout the exhibition space.
Four acclaimed craft artists -- Kim Dong-wan, Kim Deok-ho, Kim Ho-jung and Park Sun-min -- are participating in the exhibition. Through deep indigo hues, flowing curves and refined lines and surfaces, they present diverse interpretations of the season. Light and shadow woven throughout the space complete a restrained yet elegant atmosphere, offering visitors an immersive sensory experience.
The exhibition also features interactive programs engaging all five senses. Its signature program, "The Aesthetics of Summer Artisan Card," allows visitors to create an illustrated postcard of Bukchon Sulwhasoo House through a three-step hands-on experience.
Visitors who complete the exhibition and the artisan card program will receive a trial kit featuring Sulwhasoo's signature skincare products, "First Care Activating Serum" and "UV Daily Essential Sunscreen."
In addition, all customers who purchase products at Bukchon Sulwhasoo House during the exhibition period will receive complimentary ginseng gelato inspired by the brand's heritage, allowing them to experience the aesthetics of summer through taste as well.
A Sulwhasoo official at Amorepacific said the exhibition expresses the emotions and sensory qualities of the season through the language of Korean craftsmanship.
"We hope visitors will enjoy Sulwhasoo's reinterpretation of summer at Bukchon Sulwhasoo House, where tradition and modernity coexist, and take a refreshing break while discovering their own sense of beauty," the official said.
The exhibition is free of charge. Bukchon Sulwhasoo House is closed every Monday and open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.
