SEOUL, June 18 (Yonhap) -- Actor Namkoong Min, 48, and his wife, actress-model Jin Ah-reum, 37, are expecting their first child four years after tying the knot.

 

935 Entertainment, Namkoong's agency, said Thursday that "a precious new life has come to Namkoong Min and Jin Ah-reum."

 

"The couple is preparing to welcome a new member of the family with gratitude and excitement, while placing the highest priority on health and stability," the agency said.

 

It added, "We hope everyone will warmly celebrate this precious blessing that has come to Namkoong Min and his family, and we ask for your continued support and interest."

 

Namkoong made his debut in the 2001 film "Bungee Jumping of Their Own" and rose to stardom with the 2017 KBS drama series "Good Manager." He later starred in such dramas as "Hot Stove League," "The Veil," "One Dollar Lawyer" and "My Dearest."

 

Jin debuted as a model in 2008 and later expanded into acting, appearing in films including "The Troubleshooter" and "The Royal Tailor."

 

The couple dated for seven years before holding a private wedding ceremony in 2022.
