SEOUL, May 29 (Yonhap) -- The upcoming film "Wild Sing," directed by Son Jae-gon and starring Kang Dong-won, will release an original soundtrack album featuring the fictional artists and universe depicted in the movie, KT Genie Music said Friday.

 

Unlike conventional OST compilation albums, the soundtrack was produced to reflect the idol-group concept portrayed in the film.

 

The album includes tracks by the fictional coed idol group Triangle, whose members are played by Hwang Hyun-woo, portrayed by Kang Dong-won, Koo Sang-gu, played by Uhm Tae-goo, and Byun Do-mi, played by Park Ji-hyun. It also features songs by Choi Sung-gon, portrayed by Oh Jung-se, who appears in the film as a sentimental ballad singer.

 

The actors’ character names from the movie will also be listed in the album credits.

 

Earlier, "Wild Sing" drew attention with the prereleased music video for "Love is," which showcased the film’s idol concept. Released on April 21, the video has garnered 2.89 million views on YouTube.

 

The comedy film is set to hit theaters on June 3.
