SEOUL, June 5 (Yonhap) -- Beauty platform company Goodai Global has donated 100 million won (US$73,000) to support underprivileged female patients, Asan Medical Center said Friday.
The company said it hopes the donation will provide meaningful assistance to female patients who may hesitate to undergo or forgo essential medical treatment due to financial difficulties.
"We hope this contribution will be of great help to women facing economic hardship and struggling to receive necessary treatment," the company said. "We will continue carrying out social contribution activities that support women's health and independence."
Asan Medical Center said the funds will be used primarily to support disadvantaged female patients suffering from serious illnesses or requiring emergency surgery.
Goodai Global operates several K-beauty brands, including Beauty of Joseon, TIRTIR, SKIN1004 and Round Lab.
