SEOUL, Aug.5 (Yonhap) -- Former members of IZ*ONE, a project girl band which officially disbanded in April 2021, are starting their individual schedules.

Kwon Eun-bi, former leader and main dancer, is debuting as a solo singer in August.

Kwon is currently finishing up her first album, according to her management agency Woollim Entertainment Thursday. Specific details of the album’s title, track lists and release dates will later be revealed.

After the disband of the group, Kwon is the first to release an album.

Earlier, the singer has joined as an MC for LifeStyle Channel, Fashion N’s “Follow Me” with solo artist Ha Sung-woon, Pentagon’s Kino and YouTuber Song Ji-ah.


She is also keeping in touch with her fans through her account in UNIVERSE, a K-pop entertainment platform.

Former center, Jang Wonyoung, has been selected as a cosmetic brand, “Innisfree”s new model.

Jang is an iconic gen MZ and has a natural and clear image which meets the brand’s needs and values for natural beauty, explained Innisfree about the reason for its choice.

The member has shown her talent for a model in numerous photo shoots back in her days as a member of IZ*ONE.

Kang Hye-won attempted her first acting, appearing in a music video for singer Park Jae-Jung’s new song, “Hobby”, in July.

Kang having recently announced that she is considering about taking a role on web-drama “Best Mistake”, seems to be under preparation to kick off her career as an actress.

She is also communicating with her fans via “DearU”’s bubble, a private message service between fans and singers.

IZ*ONE was a girl band of 12 members, formed through Mnet’s survival audition program “Produce 48” (2018). The group was widely loved by fans in Korea and Japan, and after 2 years and 6 months, was disbanded.

After break-up, the members individually participated in various variety shows and OSTs (Original Soundtrack). But eyes are on their future activities for none of them have yet joined a new band or released a solo album.
