SEOUL, Jan. 21 (Yonhap) --

“Come experience a card game played with Hangeul snacks.”

Kalphabets, the brand behind the Hangeul-shaped snack "Hangeul Gwaja," will participate in the country’s largest education and edutech exhibition, the 23rd Korea Education Expo, to be held at COEX in Seoul from Friday to Sunday. This marks the first time Kalphabets has taken part in an education-themed exhibition.

Kalphabets has established itself as a familiar brand among consumers with its tasty and playful Hangeul-shaped snacks. As consumers began making words and playing games with the snacks, they have increasingly been used as tools for play-based learning.

In recent years, more elementary and middle school teachers have reportedly begun using Hangeul snacks as supplementary teaching materials or classroom activity resources.

To further expand these educational possibilities in a more systematic way, Kalphabets has newly developed a dedicated card game series using Hangeul snacks.

At the exhibition, visitors can sample the snacks and play card games using Hangeul snacks, allowing them to directly experience the learning effects of play-based education.

Not only children but also teachers, parents and education professionals can enjoy the games together and explore their potential uses.

Tyler Rasch, an American-born broadcaster and co-CEO of Kalphabets, said, “Hangeul snacks are not just snacks, but an experience of learning through play,” adding, “Through this exhibition, we hope to move closer to educational settings and show students and educators just how fun learning can be.”
