SEOUL, April 27 (Yonhap) -- NewJeans’ reported visit to Copenhagen for a new album is part of a pre-production process, their agency said Monday.
ADOR said the trip is “part of pre-production aimed at building a new musical narrative” for the group.
“The members are preparing their activities according to their current condition and individually optimized schedules,” the agency added. “We will officially announce their future plans at the most appropriate time.”
Speculation about a new album surfaced after online posts claimed sightings of members Hanni, Haerin and Hyein in Copenhagen. Rumors grew further when a local recording studio’s schedule reportedly showed a booking under the name of ADOR.
NewJeans, which had been embroiled in a dispute with its agency, saw Hanni, Haerin and Hyein return to ADOR in November last year. Minji’s status remains undecided, while Danielle left the group and is continuing a legal dispute.
