SEOUL, April 9 (Yonhap) -- Independent film 'Heavy Snow,' a silver screen debut for actress Han So-hee, will be released in the latter half of this year, its distributor Pan Cinema announced on the 9th

The film tells the story of two women crossing the boundaries of friendship and love. Han So-hee takes on the role of Seol, an idol star who encounters Su-an (played by Han Hae-in), an aspiring actress, at an art high school in Gangneung, initiating a relationship between the two.

Han So-hee, who debuted in 2017, has been active mainly through online video streaming service (OTT) series such as 'My Name,' 'Kyeongseong Creature,' and 'Soundtrack #1.'

'Heavy Snow' was produced in 2019 before Han So-hee rose to stardom with the JTBC drama 'The World of the Married,' depicting her rookie days.

Directed by Yun Su-ik, the film premiered at the Jeonju International Film Festival's Korean Competition section last year. At that time, all screenings were sold out as soon as ticket sales began, generating significant buzz.
