SEOUL, June 20 (Yonhap) -- To celebrate the release of their debut single in Japan, "Supernatural," NewJeans will be opening pop-up stores simultaneously in Korea and Japan.
According to their agency, ADOR, on the 20th, NewJeans will collaborate with IPX (formerly Line Friends) to run pop-up stores from June 26 at Line Friends Square in Myeongdong, Seoul, and Shibuya, Tokyo.
These pop-up stores will feature products created in collaboration with renowned Japanese artists such as pop art creator Murakami Takashi and fashion designer and music producer Hiroshi Fujiwara.
Items like bags and pouches will showcase flower characters combining Murakami’s signature style with NewJeans' logo. Additionally, customers can find key rings and smart rings with characters sketched by Murakami himself, depicting the NewJeans members.
Hiroshi Fujiwara's collection will include street fashion items such as T-shirts, caps, and backpacks, featuring NewJeans' team name and members' names written in Korean, English, and Japanese. The Shibuya pop-up will also offer an interactive media experience space, allowing fans to immerse themselves in the characters and artists.
The single "Supernatural" will be released on June 21 at 1 PM. NewJeans is set to premiere their new song on Fuji TV's morning show "Mezamashi TV" on the same day.
