SEOUL, Sept. 10 (Yonhap) -- South Korean travel service Kyowon KRT announced Friday that people with travel packages to Europe will depart next week for the first time since the coronavirus outbreak.
The package contains a nine-day trip to Spain using Etihad Airlines while departing on Sept. 17 and returning to Korea on Sept. 25. The tour has been organized around nine major cities in Spain, including Barcelona, Granada and Seville.
For personal hygiene and safety, travelers who have completed the COVID-19 vaccination are applicable to book the package and will be conducted as a tour guide group using a dedicated vehicle.
As of Friday morning, 15 people have confirmed their reservations, filling the minimum number of travelers. Reservations are known to be dominated by couples and friends in their 50s and 60s.
An official from Kyowon KRT said, "As the number of countries that allow people with completed vaccinations to enter the country increases, expectations for overseas travel are growing," adding, "We will present good examples as a travel service by thoroughly prioritizing hygiene and safety."
