SEOUL, July 28 (Yonhap) – Rookie actor Choo Yeong-woo is taking over the role for “School 2021” which Kim Young-dae was formerly offered with.

On 27th, “Choo Yeong-woo had confirmed appearing in our drama”, announced “School 2021”, KBS 2TV’s new series on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

This series is of an 18-year-old student’s dream, adventure and growth who decided a path other than college.

Choo Yeong-woo is taking the role of Jung Young-joo, a transfer student with secrets and scars in his heart and is co-working with Kim Yo-han who is acting as Gong Ki-joon.

Earlier, a conflict between the former actor and the drama producers was an issue. The series’ officials insisted that actor Kim Young-dae’s drop out was a one-wayed notification from the actor, but Kim refuted saying that the contract was no longer valid due to the producer’s fault.

“We have finished all preparation work and is now planning to get into actual shooting”, and “we thank all our actors and staff for waiting. We will show you a satisfying work”, the producers of “School 2021” promised on the 27th.

The series will soon be under filming and is to be broadcast on the second half of the year.
