SEOUL, Sept. 17 (Yonhap) -- Lee Seung-chul, 60, widely known as the "Emperor of Live performance," has become a grandfather after welcoming his first grandson on Sept. 16, his agency LSC said Thursday.
Lee shared a photo of his first grandson, born to his eldest daughter, on social media the previous day.
Quoting lyrics from his hit song "Yeon-in," he wrote, "Open your eyes and look," followed by, "Welcome to the world, my grandson Jung Yoo-han Grayson, seeing the world for the first time."
Lee has previously expressed his affection for his eldest daughter and son-in-law, who married last year, through appearances on various television programs.
Marking his 40th anniversary since his debut this year, Lee is currently holding a nationwide concert tour titled "The Voice: Lee Seung-chul."
His 40th anniversary concert held last month at Inspire Arena in Incheon will air at 7:30 p.m. on KBS 2TV on Sept. 24.
