SEOUL, June 16 (Yonhap) -- The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) said Tuesday it held the "2026 France B2B Travel Mart" in Paris and Lyon for two days starting June 10 to attract more French travelers to South Korea, marking the 140th anniversary of diplomatic ties between South Korea and France.
Eleven Korean organizations, including travel agencies, local governments and airlines, took part in the event and promoted Korean tourism products to about 130 representatives from major French travel companies.
In Paris, the KTO used the National Museum of Asian Arts-Guimet, Europe's largest national museum specializing in Asian art, as the venue and carried out promotional activities linked to a special exhibition on Korea. Visitors were also offered immersive programs, including K-beauty experiences and Korean food catering.
Business meetings were also held intensively in both Paris and Lyon.
Jeong Sun-hwa, head of the KTO's Paris office, said around 160 business consultations were conducted during the travel mart.
"Based on the consultations arranged through this travel mart, we will develop a variety of new tourism products for visitors to Korea and foster further growth in the European inbound tourism market," she said.
