SEOUL, May 15 (Yonhap) -- Sphere, the iconic spherical entertainment venue in Las Vegas, will be transformed with a theme inspired by BTS' latest album "ARIRANG" to coincide with the group's upcoming concerts, agency BigHit Music said Friday.

 

BigHit Music announced the plan through fan platform Weverse as part of its offline event project, "THE CITY LAS VEGAS."

 

The agency described the project as the starting point of "Global THE CITY 2.0," an expanded version of its city-linked campaign that extends beyond previous formats into major cities worldwide. It called the initiative the largest urban collaboration project in the company's history.

 

BTS is set to color the Las Vegas skyline red, reflecting the signature visual theme of its fifth full-length album, "ARIRANG."

 

Sphere, the world's largest spherical venue, will showcase large-scale digital content themed around the album. BigHit Music said the visuals covering the venue's exterior are expected to provide an immersive experience for visitors from around the world.

 

Large outdoor advertisements welcoming BTS will also appear across the Las Vegas Strip, with the agency saying the city will become a major stage celebrating the group and its music.

 

On May 23-24 and May 27-28 local time, major hotels and landmarks across Las Vegas will simultaneously light up in red at designated times. "THE CITY Welcome Party" events will also take place at Tailgate Beach Club on May 22 and May 26.

 

Additional experiences, including collaborations with food and beverage brands such as Tous Les Jours and themed food tours, are also planned.

 

BigHit Music said the project aims to expand the concert experience by filling the city with BTS' music and message before and after the shows, turning Las Vegas into a space where fans can engage with the group's brand beyond the performances themselves.

 

BTS will hold its Las Vegas concerts at Allegiant Stadium on May 23-24 and May 27-28. More details about "THE CITY LAS VEGAS" are available through BTS' Weverse channel.
