SEOUL, April 1 (Yonhap) -- Content platform operator RIDI said Wednesday its consolidated revenue for 2025 rose 7 percent on-year to 251.6 billion won.

Fourth-quarter revenue reached 71.3 billion won, marking a record high on a quarterly basis.

The company attributed the growth to its "Comics Are RIDI" campaign and a strategy focused on securing global intellectual property rights.

Sales in the comics segment jumped more than 30 percent from a year earlier.

Driven by rising demand for original works adapted into animation, sales of the original comic series "Demon Slayer" surged 1,800 percent compared with the previous month ahead of a theatrical release, while "Chainsaw Man" posted a 2,000 percent increase.

RIDI’s global webtoon service "Manta" continued its growth based on a hybrid business model combining subscription and pay-per-title options.

The company also launched a global short-form drama platform, "Kanta," releasing about 100 original titles last year.

Due to initial investments in content production and platform operations, RIDI posted an operating loss of 26.2 billion won in 2025 on a consolidated basis.

CEO Bae Gi-sik said, "Last year was meaningful as we sustained growth in our core businesses centered on RIDI and Manta while expanding into new IP business areas."

"We will continue to build a foundation for sustainable growth based on our IP competitiveness," he added.
