SEOUL, Dec. 29 (Yonhap) -- K-pop juggernauts BTS’s hit song “Dynamite” achieved an accumulation of 500 million plays on Japanese streaming site, according to Big Hit, that quoted Oricon, on Dec. 29.

“Dynamite,” released in August, ranked sixteenth place after scoring 3,951,000 plays during the weekly streaming ranking (Dec. 20~ Dec. 26), according to Oricon’s newest charts, on Wednesday.

“‘Dynmate’ achieved an accumulation of 500 million plays. This is the second time for them to surpass 500 million streams in the weekly music charts and the first as a male artist,” explained Oricon.

“Dynamite” went straight to the top of Oricon’s weekly streaming chart on Sep.7, after entering the charts on Aug. 31, and remained at the top 20 for 71 consecutive weeks.
