SEOUL, Oct. 26 (Yonhap) -- Popera tenor Lim Hyung-joo will hold a charity solo concert at Lotte Concert Hall in Songpa-gu Seoul on the 12th of November, Universal Music announced Tuesday.
The performance is in match with his popera 7th regular album “Lost In Time” which is to be released in mid-November and he will sing various songs that have been loved by the public.
A 40-piece orchestra, the Korean National Philharmonic Orchestra where Lim has music-directed for a long time, will join the concert and maestro Lee Tae-you who has also served as Music Director of New Jersey Sinfonietta will conduct the orchestra.
Lim is planning to sing various genres, from classic to pop, and songs such as “Beyond the Wall,” the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics and Paralympics campaign song, “Misty Moon” and “A Thousand Winds.”
Also, he will entertain the audiences with familiar and famous musicals and film music such as “The Phantom of Opera”’s prelude, “Gone With the Wind” and “007 James Bond Medley” as well.
For the concert, “Layers Classic” who is being recognized as “star of classic” on YouTube with over 310,000 subscriber and Jo Su-ah, soprano selected by Lim will appear as special guests.
A portion of the profit to be yielded by the concert will be donated to charity, Universal Music announced.
