Amorepacific Foundation opens exhibition showcasing art made from empty cosmetic containers

SEOUL, July 24 (Yonhap) -- The Amorepacific Foundation is holding the exhibition "Nature in the City" at the pop-up hall on the first floor of the Yongsan Cultural Foundation from July 22 to Aug. 15, showcasing artworks created from empty cosmetic containers.

The exhibition is an extension of last year's cultural arts project, "The Beauty of Discarded Things," and reinterprets used cosmetic containers as works of art to offer visitors an opportunity to experience nature in an urban setting.

The exhibition features artist Park Geun-ho's, also known as Chamsae, signature work "Luminous Green" alongside his new piece, "Luminous Sun." "Luminous Green" depicts a lush green meadow using empty cosmetic containers, while "Luminous Sun," representing the sun shining over the meadow, comes together with the earlier work to create a new urban natural landscape.

This year's exhibition was organized in collaboration with the newly launched Yongsan Cultural Foundation to improve accessibility for local residents and visitors.

The Amorepacific Foundation said it hopes the exhibition will provide people with an opportunity to encounter nature and art in their daily lives while finding rest and inspiration.
