SEOUL, March 12 (Yonhap) -- Juno Hair said Thursday it will enter the Vietnamese market with the opening of its first store in Ho Chi Minh City.

The company will open the premium salon Friday in Ho Chi Minh City, occupying about 200 pyeong across one basement floor and four aboveground floors.

The first store in the city will offer not only hair services but also makeup and head spa treatments.

A total of 15 designers — 10 from South Korea and five from Vietnam — will work at the salon.

With the new opening, Juno Hair’s number of global stores will increase to eight. Besides the Ho Chi Minh City outlet, the company operates three stores each in the Philippines and Thailand, and one in Japan.

Juno Hair said it also plans to establish a Juno Academy in Vietnam to introduce its beauty education system and train local designers.

The company added it will provide outstanding Vietnamese talent with opportunities to work at its salons in South Korea to build a global talent circulation system.

Song Hyun-seok, chief executive officer of Juno Hair, said the company will strengthen the global standing of K-beauty through its technology and services.
