SEOUL, March 24th (Yonhap) -- TVXQ's U-Know Yunho, who recently caused controversy for violating the new social distancing rules, has decided to withdraw from appearing on Mnet's K-pop idol survival program, "Kingdom: Legendary War".
On the 24th, Mnet announced that, "We were informed by singer U-Know Yunho's agency, SM entertainment, that they would voluntarily step back from participating in the program until the police investigation results were finalized."
Mnet also explained that the program will proceed only with Max Changmin, a member of TVXQ, as the host of the show. Additionally, some of U-Know Yunho's pre-filmed parts will be edited out of the program.
Mnet's "Kingdom: Legendary War" is the spin-off of the reality survival show, "Road to Kingdom", which features K-pop boy groups competing against each other. A substantial part of the show has already been filmed and was scheduled to air from April 1st with U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin as the hosts.
U-Know Yunho was investigated by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency last month on charges for attending an unauthorized entertainment bar in Gangnam from 10 p.m. to midnight.
