Lee Chan-won to drop first mini album of debut...title song "Cheer Up"

SEOUL, OCt. 5 (Yonhap) -- Trot singer Lee Chan-won will return with his first mini-album since debut.

Lee will release his 1st mini “…Gift” (translated) on the 7th, according to his agency Bliss Entertainment Tuesday.

“Lee wishes to return the love he has been receiving with a gift song. The song contains a message of cheering for all the people going through the pandemic situation,” said the entertainment.

The title song with the message is “Cheer Up” (translated).

The singer has recently revealed a video of him singing a part of the song amongst passengers in a subway.

“Cheer up / No matter how difficult / The sun will rise brightly someday.” He sang the lyrics with his folksy vocal with inflections.

Lee, who showed his excellent talent for singing through “National Singing Contest” and “STARKING” since childhood, rose in stardom ranking 3rd place for TV Chosun “Mr. Trot” last year.

He has been actively performing in “PPONG School” and “Romantic Call Center” and showcasing collaborated concerts.

Lee has begun individual activities as “Mr. Trot” Top 6 singer’s contract with TV Chosun recently expired. Tickets for his first four-time fan concert, starting from the 23rd, were sold out showing his excessive ticket power.
