SEOUL, Jan. 13 (Yonhap) – A new Netflix original series, which narrates the end of the world, will be produced.

Netflix announced on Jan. 13 that it has confirmed the casting of Ahn Eun-jin, Yoo Ah-in, Jeon Sung-woo, and Kim Yoon-hye for "The Fool of the End."

"The Fool of the End" depicts the story of a world in chaos, where people live the rest of their lives 200 days before the asteroid collision with the Earth.

The drama was directed by Kim Jin-min of "Extracurricular" and "My Name," and written by Jung Sung-joo of "Secret Affair.”

Ahn Eun-jin plays the role of Jin Se-kyung, who volunteers at Ungcheon City Hall after the asteroid emergency and secretly struggles to protect children in danger, while Yoo Ah-in plays Ha Yoon-sang, a longtime lover of Se-kyung and researcher at the Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology.

Jeon Sung-woo takes the role of Woo Sung-jae, an assistant priest who takes care of his believers on behalf of the chief priest, who disappeared after the asteroid crisis was announced, and Kim Yoon-hye plays Kang In-ah, a company commander of Combat Service Support who travels through Ungcheon City, which has been ruined for supply and security.
