SEOUL, November 25 (Yonhap) --Lee Seung-gi's agency, Hook Entertainment, announced that Lee Seung-gi's claims are not true, as singer and actor Lee Seung-gi announced that he has not been able to get any settlements cleared from his agency, where he has been for 18 years,

Hook Entertainment asserted in a news release on Friday, "the subject matter saying that Lee Seung-gi was never paid for his music usage fee is not true.

The company said, "When we signed an exclusive contract with Lee Seung-gi after ending the contract last year, we both confirmed the settlement details and settled the financial bond debt relationship," adding, "We prepared an agreement to confirm such facts."

Earlier, Lee Seung-gi established a one-man agency in May last year and declared his independence from Hook Entertainment, but he announced a sudden renewal of his contract with Hook Entertainment shortly after.

Hook Entertainment said, "According to Lee Seung-gi's raising of the issue, we are once again closely reviewing the settlement of profits of a considerable amount paid so far to professionals."

Continuing on, it stated, "If there is anything that I or Hook Entertainment did in order to cause such an incident to happen, I will take full responsibility for my actions," and added, "I once again apologize for this situation as a management company where trust and belief are the most important to maintain relationships with celebrities."

Hook Entertainment apologized for the recent release of a recording of CEO Kwon Jin-young's abusive language and insults, saying, "I apologize to Lee Seung-gi, who is going through a hard time due to this," adding, "I also apologize to those who were hurt by CEO Kwon's abusive language and actions."

However, regarding singer Lee Sun-hee, Hook Entertainment explained, "Since she was an artist from the beginning, she was nominally listed as a director for courtesy, but she is not involved in the company's management or profit distribution," adding, "Hook Entertainment was a single-person company that Kwon owned 100% of the stock from 2006 to last year."

CEO Kwon has been in charge of Lee Sun-hee's manager, and Lee Seung-gi is known to have been selected and raised by Lee Sun-hee.

Hook Entertainment is currently the agency of Lee Sun-hee and Lee Seung-gi, as well as actors Yoon Yeo-jung, Lee Seo-jin, and Park Min-young.
