SEOUL March 21 (Yonhap) -- South Korean artist Seo Ji-won known for his tracks “With My Tears” and various more throughout 1990s will return to his fans after 27 years since his passing by using development of recent technology.
According to the Omni Music Publishing on Tuesday, album “Rebirth of Seo Ji Won” will be released on March 27 which consists of artist Seo Ji-won’s voice through various technologies.
The upcoming album will be the first album released under the name of artist Seo Ji-won after 27 years since his last album “Made In Heaven” was released in March of 1996
There will be a track included within the upcoming album “Days of Longing, Days to be Forgotten,” although the track is originally sang by South Korean artist Lee Seung-hwan and was included within his first album “BC 603,” however, through AI technology, the track is reconstructed with the voice of Seo Ji-won.
Omni Music addressed “In order achieve perfection the track took over a year and six months to finish,” adding “We pulled all of the data of Seo Ji-won’s voice we had to create his vocal lines.”
Artist Seo Ji-won who debuted with his first full length album “Seo Ji Won” in 1994 received a lot of love by the public through his clear vocal sounds and down to earth singing style. However right before he released his second album in 1996 Seo Ji-won died on January of 1996 leaving his fans in mourn.
Recently, Omni music was caught up in a lot of trouble with Seo Ji-won’s parents in process of re publishing LP and CD version of Seo Ji-won first and second album for not acquiring consent from his family members.
Official of Omni Music addressed “For the upcoming project we have acquired approval from family members of Seo Ji-won.”
