SEOUL, Apr. 12 (Yonhap) -- Two national institutes of cultural heritage in Gyeongju-si in Gyeongsangbuk-do which was the capital of Silla, cooperate for hosting a special exhibition and publishing a report.
Gyeongju National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage announces that they will sign on business agreement for collaborated academic research with Gyeongju National Museum on the afternoon of the 12th.
The main purpose is to cooperate for a successful hosting of special exhibition "Nangsan, a way to Doricheon (Translated)" which Gyeongju National Museum opens at June, and publishing a report "Mokgan of Silla's capital (Translated)" that contains a research result of Silla's language record which two institutes own.
An official from Gyeongju National Research Institute says, "In a report which is planned to be published on June 30th, Mokgan (wooden tablet) that are excavated from Gyeongju Wolseong and Anapji will be shown", adding, "We will display treasures of Sacheonwangsa temple which Gyeongju National Research Institute made research on, in Nangsan special exhibition."
Two institutes have also signed on business agreement in 2017 for the restoration and research of "Green-glazed Tiles of Buddhist Guardian Deities," a sculpture placed on the stylobate of a rood pagoda at Sacheonwangsa temple.
