SEOUL, March 25 (Yonhap) -- Singer Lim Young-woong from “Mr. Trot” will return with his first regular album.

“Lim will release his first regular album on May 2nd,” said his agency Mulgogi Music on its official social media, Friday.

The agency explained there is great interest in Lim’s new album since he marked high rank on charts with songs including “My Starry Love,” “HERO,” “Trust in Me,” “Love Always Run Away.”

After debuting with the 2016 digital single “Hate You,” Lim is steadily gaining recognition in the music market.

The trot singer rose to stardom after competing on the trot survival show, "Mr. Trot" and winning first place. Lim is performing diverse music genres other than trot.
