Accusation of school bullying surfaces as Netflix series 'The Glory' rises to fame

SEOUL March 16 (Yonhap) -- #1 “After getting to know his and his friends existence the upcoming year for my friend I was living hell.” addressed competitor Kim Da-young from “Physical:100.”

Producer of the South Korean Netflix series “The Glory” was caught up in an accusation regarding school violence therefore producer Ahn Gil-ho received a lot of criticism.

After the release of the part 2 of “The Glory” a writing regarding producer’s school bullying has surfaced through an online community, where producer was accused of hitting the writer and writer’s friends for making fun of producer’s girlfriend.

Victim of the school violence addressed that producer Ahn and around 10 of his friends were beating the writer for around about two hours.

Although producer firmly stated that all the accusations were falsified, however later on producer addressed “I have left an unforgettable scar to someone due to my temper, I am very sorry for my misbehaviors in the past.”

Moreover, some of the tv programs which feature non media personals were faced with troublesome situation as well due to school bullying.

South Korean tv program “PEAK TIME” provided by JTBC suffered after one of the participants of the show Kim Hyun-jae got caught up in a school bullying accusation.

Although the participant Kim Hyun-jae is currently denying all the accusations set towards his school violence, however the producers of the show addressed on March 13, that “The problem Kim Hyun-jae faces is not something that can be solved immediately, therefore we have decided to let him go from the program.”

Continuing on MBN’s audition entertainment program “Fire Trot,” one of the final contestants Hwang Young-woong got dropped from the program after he was caught up in a school bullying accusation.

Singer Hwang Young-woong addressed “I would like to carefully ask everyone for forgiveness and an opportunity for me to live a transparent and life where I can repent for my wrongful doing.” However, due to rush of audiences criticism, singer got dropped from the show.

Within the Netflix’s survival series “Physical 100” competitor Kim Da-young were caught up in a school bullying incident where she addressed “I will live my life repenting for things I have done in the past.”
As the situation strengthens, some of the stories of victims are receiving a lot of spot light as well.

One of the participants of the SBS’ fighting entertainment show “Sandbag” nickname used throughout the show, received a lot of attention after he came clean of his experience getting bullied.

“Throughout my Elementary days, I was a human sandbag, and the reason I learned how to fight was to become strong.” addressed contestant “Sandbag.” As he came clean of his unfortunate past, a lot of viewers showcased love through the continuous increase in view count of the clip uploaded on YouTube which as exceeded over 1.9 million views.

Moreover, some of the tv programs such as “True Story” of MBC and “Want to Know That” of SBS’ episode which shines light on the truth behind some of the school bullying cases received a lot of attentions.

“True Story” showcased a story of a student who suffered from 12 years of school bullying where the student still hasn’t received any apology from the bullies, and “Want to Know That” showcased an incident which took place 14 years ago in Busan South Korea where an unfortunate high school student was found dead, and whereabouts of the bullies.
