SEOUL, Apr. 9 (Yonhap) -- The Hadong Flyway Cable Car, which offers an astonishing, full view of the Hallyeohaesang National Park on the South Coast of the Korean Peninsula, are welcoming guests on the 22nd.
According to Hadong county, Gyeongnam on the 9th, the Hadong Flyway cable car, which started construction on the March of 2020 have completed its preparations to operate in two years. This cable car has a total length of 2,556 from the top of Geumosan Mountain at 849m above sea level to the Jungpyeong-ri Youth Training Center in Geumnam-myeon.
It has a number of 40 cabins for ten people each. 1,200 people per hour, thus 9,800 people will be able to ride per day.
The cable car will be operated from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturdays, and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00p.m. on Sundays and public holidays.
The fare for the regular cabins is 20,000 won while a crystal cabin (cabins with a transparent crystal floor) costs 27,000 won. The local residents, however, will receive a 5,000 won discount.
"Hadong Flyway Cable Car allows people to view the archipelago of the Hallyeohaesang National Park and the Geumosan Mountain at the same time. It is expected to establish as a representative landmark of the tourism in the South Coast while also being Asia's longest zip wire and Sky walk" an official from the Hadong county explained.
