SEOUL, April. 16 (Yonhap) -- SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Taxi Driver 2," which avenges evil people who committed crimes such as sharing sexual exploitation, imprisonment of young people working abroad, pseudo-religion, elderly fraud, and school violence, has ended with a viewer rating of 20%.

According to Nielsen Korea, a ratings research company, on Sunday, the final episode of "Taxi Driver 2" starring Lee Je-hoon, which aired at 10 p.m. the previous day, was 21%. This broke the season 1's own highest viewer rating of 16%.

In the final episode, the rainbow team, which has been acting on behalf of the unjust victims, has attacked the Geumsa Society, a group of evil organization hidden behind various crimes.

On Ha-joon (Shin Jae-ha), a loyal subordinate of the head of the Geumsa Society (Park Ho-san), chose to jump from the roof of the building with him after learning that the man who killed him was his father.

At the end of the drama, the rainbow team was depicted a year later. Taxi driver Kim Do-ki (Lee Je-hoon) hinted that he could return to season 3 by infiltrating the military to investigate the case of a female sergeant who committed suicide after suffering a second assault on reporting sexual violence in the military.

Like season 1, "Taxi Driver 2" has increased its sense of reality by reconstructing the actual criminal case.

Instead of a law that failed to punish a vicious crime that caused irreparable damage to the victim or a heinous crime that shocked our society, private revenge that gives back evil conduct they did gave catharsis.

A pseudo-religious leader was brainwashed by Kim Do-ki disguised as a shaman and begged for his life even though he was beaten as he did to the believers, and the swindler was conversely scammed and wasted all his money.

Above all, Kim Do-ki's performance in disguise as a "second character”, including job seeker, shaman, and teacher drew attention to the case requested for revenge.

In each episode, Lee Je-hoon's "second character play," which saved the second character with his natural acting, stood out. In addition, Kim Eui-sung, Pyo Ye-jin, Jang Hyuk-jin, and Bae Yu-ram, who played as members of the rainbow team, including Lee Je-hoon, showed the advantages of seasonal dramas by showing more coordinated teamwork than season 1.

JTBC's Saturday-Sunday drama "Doctor Cha” starring Uhm Jung-hwa, which aired at 10:30 p.m. the previous day, has started with a 4.9% viewer rating.

Cha Jung-sook (Uhm Jung-hwa), who graduated from medical school but lived as a housewife for 20 years, considering her family as everything about happiness, faced a turning point in her life.

She feels shabby not able to help an emergency patient who has difficulty breathing even though she has doctor's license, and was on the verge of being diagnosed with acute hepatitis and had to receive a liver transplant. On top of that, anger and sadness exploded when her husband hesitated to donate his liver due to her mother-in-law's opposition.

Eventually, Cha Jung-sook, who miraculously survived after falling into a coma, cursed her husband as soon as she opened her eyes, heralding a reversal that will unfold.

"Doctor Cha,” which will portray housewife's first-year residency, is a lovely portrait of Cha Jung-sook, who seems confident on the outside, but is actually soft-hearted. Uhm Jung-hwa has raised expectations by bringing Cha Jung-sook's character to life realistically.
