SEOUL, September 15 (Yonhap) -- Lee Jong-sup, the Defense Minister of South Korea's Ministry of National Defense showed that he maintains the same negative opinion regarding the boy group BTS's military service exception problem.
In the interview Defense Minister Lee had on September 14, at the office of the Ministry of National Defense in Yongsan with Yonhap news, he delivered his opinion saying, "The accomplishments of BTS is surely impressive, but it is a different matter to reward them with a military service exception."

And he added, "The discussion regarding this will be continued as there is a proposed amendment to the Military Service Act related to art and sports personnel of pop culture artists such as BTS, in the congress."
