SEOUL October 08 (Yonhap) -- Contents market representing the Asia Busan International Film Festival’s Asian Contents and Film Market will kick off at the second exhibition hall in BEXCO.

If the film festival is for actors, actresses, directors and those working within the field of movie, the Content and Film Market is for is a battle field of copyrights between authorities of film industries.

Asian Contents and Film Market which will continue on with its festival until October 11, is the first event in three years due to wide spread of COVID 19.

In total of 1059 different companies from 48 different countries will participate in the Asian Content and Film Market.

Up until September 07, over 2185 people have signed up to participate in the Asian Contents and Film Market. Ever since the Asian Contents and Film Market kicked off its event for the first time in 2006, this year has topped in its previous records set by expected admission rate.

If the onsite tickets booth opens up, the admission rate will increase greatly.

Over 196 companies from 17 different nations will participate in the sales booth segment.

Pavilions for various powerful countries will feature total of 8 nations such as United Kingdom, Mongolia, South Korea, Japan, Philippine , Thailand and more

Nine of the UK sales companies will be presented at the UK Pavilion.

Jointly created European Pavilion by the European Film Promotion which has been participating since the first festival and UniFrance, will be staffed by representatives from 39 companies.

CJ ENM, LOTTE CULTUREWORKS, SHOWBOX CORP., CONTENTS PANDA, M-LINE DISTRIBUTION, and FINECUT CO., LTD. have registered their booths as Korean sales companies.

Moreover, NAVER WEBTOON, JAKGA COMPANY INC. and more will establish their booths in order to trade sales rights for original stories. Also, global and local streaming platforms, including DISNEY+, NETFLIX, WAVVE, TVING, WATCHA, and three major global management companies, UNITED TALENT AGENCY (UTA), CREATIVE ARTISTS AGENCY (CAA), and WILLIAM MORRIS ENDEAVOR (WME), will be present as the main participants.


Also, Korean broadcast companies and studios, including STUDIO DRAGON, STUIO S, STUDIO LULULALA, and MONSTER UNION, and 200 industry officials from drama series productions to investors will participate.

Asian Contents and Film Market which will be celebrating its 17th anniversary provides a market place for movie, drama contents to intellectual property since 2006.
