SEOUL, June 4 (Yonhap) -- Musinsa said Thursday it will launch an "AI Trend Curation" service that uses artificial intelligence to analyze global fashion trends and recommend optimal products without requiring consumers to search for items themselves.
The new service is designed to proactively detect real-time trend changes outside the platform and connect them with relevant products.
The AI also learns from vast amounts of unstructured data and automatically combines trend keywords with product attributes.
Musinsa said the strategy is aimed at improving the shopping experience for "discovery-oriented consumers" who browse trends without a specific purchase goal in mind.
The company has initially applied the system to its hat category and plans to expand it across all fashion and beauty categories in the future.
"We have moved beyond the passive search model, where consumers had to look for trends themselves, and implemented a model in which AI reads market contexts and suggests trends," a Musinsa official said. "The platform will respond to rapidly changing trends in real time."
Meanwhile, Musinsa has been focusing on strengthening AI-powered shopping models.
In January, the company launched an open recruitment program for entry-level "AI-native" developers as part of efforts to internalize AI technology. Last month, it also held the "Mujinjang Success-Wishing AI Advertising Festival," allowing customers to create AI-generated content while serving as both advertising models and creators.
