SEOUL, July 27 (Yonhap) -- BTS member Jungkook's solo song "Standing Next to You" has surpassed 1.5 billion streams on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, BigHit Music said Monday.

 

"Standing Next to You," the title track from Jungkook's solo album "GOLDEN," exceeded 1.5 billion streams on Spotify on Monday. It became his second solo song to reach the milestone, following "Seven" (feat. Latto).

 

The song conveys the message that love is deeper than anything else and that the singer will stand by his loved one through any hardship.

 

With the track, Jungkook debuted at No. 5 on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart dated Nov. 18, 2023, and remained on the chart for 19 consecutive weeks, the longest run for any of his solo releases.

 

BTS is currently on its "ARIRANG" world tour.
