SEOUL, Apr. 20 (Yonhap) – The album presales for K-pop boy group TOMORROW X TOGETHER, which will make a comeback next month, has surpassed 800,000 copies.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s 4th mini album “minisode 2 : Thursday’s Child” has exceeded 816,000 copies for the presales of the group’s upcoming album on Apr. 19, according to the agency Big Hit music and distribution company YG Plus on Wednesday.
It is the figure aggregated for 6 days since the group started presales for the album on Apr. 14.
It surpasses the record of the second full album “FREEZE,” which was most recently dropped and hit 700,000 copies, which nearly reaches 1.5 times as much as the repackaged album “FIGHT OF ESCAPE” that recorded 560,000 copies.
The agency said, “TOMORROW X TOGETHER has set its own highest record of the album presales in six days since the presales began,” adding, “The group showed off its great album power.”
The group will release a new album portraying the development of the members on May. 9.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER, which consists of members Soo-bin, Yeon-jun, Beom-gyu, Tae-hyun, and Huening Kai, made a debut in the music scene in 2019.
