SEOUL December 14 (Yonhap) -- “I started off acting as an actor without a single recognition. As time passed, I have learned the importance of blending into the production stead of standing out. Experiences I have accumulated back when I was not famous, fuels me till this day,” adding “Time I spent as a part time actor was a great time for me to learn about acting,” addressed actor Seo Hyun-woo from South Korean drama series “Behind Every Star,” during the interview conducted at a café in Gangnam district, Seoul.
After going through number of short appearance roles throughout various series, actor Seo Hyun-woo showcased a team leader Kim Jung-don of the conglomerate entertainment company Method Entertainment throughout the series “Behind Every Star” a second drama series actor participated as a lead role.
Actor Seo Hyun-woo who showcased realistic action throughout the series had a routine he followed at the production site in order to act the way he acted throughout the series.
“Before the shoot I would arrive at the scene little bit early to check on the props I will be using throughout the scene, later on I would think of how I would use these props. Everyone in various profession has unique hand gestures and motions that they take therefore I closely look and mimic those gestures suitable for the role I play.” addressed actor Seo Hyun-woo throughout the interview.
Actor Seo Hyun-woo who graduated Korea National University of Arts and debuted through the stage of musical “The Harmonium in My Memory” in 2010 was featured in movies “The Face Reader” in 2013, “A Taxi Driver,” “Believer,” “The Man Standing Next,” “Decision to Leave,” and more.
“My goal was to exist as one of the most naturally blended in character throughout the movie or the series, instead of being the most bold and unique character,” adding “I think being as well blended and fitting within the atmosphere of the production is a better way for an actor to survive for a longer period of time.” stated actor Seo Hyun-woo throughout his interview.
However, living as a part time actor without any recognition at the age of 30 was not an easy task.
Actor Seo Hyun-woo addressed “There is an interview that I participated a while ago where I proudly said that I have never regretted nor will regret my decision to walk the path of an actor, however after the interview I was financially challenged to a point where I regretted my decision to become an actor.”
Moreover, Seo Hyun-woo stated “What motivated me the most to continue on with the path when I was going through severe uncertainty was the belief and the faith people around me had.”
“I had the time where I thought about what I would have done if I wasn’t acting, however everyone around me thought that I couldn’t give up acting. Thinking about it now and ‘Why everyone cheered me up.’ I come to realize that when I am acting, I am more passionate about acting than a lot of people. That is why people around me believed in me despite of all the uncertainty, that is how I overcame my hardship.” addressed actor Seo Hyun-woo throughout the interview.
After surviving such a hard period, year 2022 to the actor is “Indescribably happy year.” Total 5 of the movies he participated in has premiered, and two of the dramas actor participated aired through South Korean broadcasting channels.
