SEOUL, Sep. 01 (Yonhap) -- Naver Webtoon has announced its exclusive serializing of webtoon “Shang-Chi” from Sep. 1.

The webtoon, based on last year’s Marvel Comics story with the same title, deals with the origin of “Shang-Chi,” the hero from Marvel Studio’s film “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” released on Wednesday.

The 8-episode-webtoon will be uploaded every Wednesdays and Sundays on Naver Webtoon and Naver Series.

Naver Webtoon has been holding “Marvel Webtoon Project” with Marvel Comics and Sigongsa, South Korea’s official Marvel publisher. They released webtoon “Black Widow” in July and will drop comics based on November and December’s upcoming films “Eternals” and “Spider Man: No Way Home.”
