SEOUL, Oct. 20 (Yonhap) -- South Korean actor Kim Seon-ho has released an official apology through his agency Salt Entertainment on Wednesday amid allegations of forcing his ex-girlfriend to have an abortion.
Read the full apology statement below:
"Hello, this is Kim Seon-ho.
I sincerely apologize for not presenting my position sooner. I felt terrified in a way I have never felt before after reading articles that mentioned my name and I am now able to write this statement.
I started dating my girlfriend with good feelings. During this process, I have hurt her with my negligence and inconsiderate behavior.
Although I wanted to meet and apologize to her in person, I am currently unable to deliver my proper apologies and waiting until I am given the opportunity to do so. For now, I wanted to deliver my sincere apology through this statement.
I apologize for disappointing everyone who have trusted and supported me until the end. I'm able to stand where I am today because of the many people who have always supported me, but I seemed to have forgotten about that. I'm truly sorry for causing trouble and negatively affecting those who have recently worked with me. I once again sincerely apologize to everyone who has been hurt by my actions.
I realize my incoherent statement will not fully reach the hearts of many people, but I wanted to at least deliver my sincerity like this. I am truly sorry."
On Oct. 17, an anonymous writer, who claimed to be an ex-girlfriend of rising star "Actor K," exposed that she had been coerced into getting an abortion and was notified to be broken up with after erasing her child.
