SEOUL, Sept. 1 (Yonhap) -- CJ Group will showcase the Korean lifestyle to global figures in the cultural and arts sectors visiting Frieze Seoul, an international art fair.

 

According to industry sources Tuesday, CJ Group will host "CJ NIGHT in Celebration of Frieze Seoul" at Leeum Museum of Art in Hannam-dong, central Seoul, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, the opening day of Frieze Seoul 2026.

Frieze Seoul is an international art fair launched in Britain in 2003. In 2022, Frieze selected Seoul as the first and only city in Asia to host the fair, which has since been held annually in the South Korean capital.

 

This will be the third time CJ Group has hosted the event in conjunction with Frieze Seoul, following events in 2022 and 2024.

 

The group has invited more than 400 figures from the global cultural and arts community, including prominent figures from the domestic and international art worlds and leaders from various fields of K-culture.

 

This year, the event has expanded beyond serving as a platform for cultural and arts exchanges to become a global platform where guests can directly experience the K-lifestyle.

 

CJ Vice Chairwoman Lee Mi-kyung will lead the event, joined by chief executives and other business leaders from major CJ affiliates, who will welcome the invited cultural and arts figures from overseas.

 

Attendees include Maja Hoffmann, founder and chairwoman of the Luma Foundation; Ari Emanuel, executive chairman of WME Group; artist Lee Ufan; installation artist Do Ho Suh; chef Edward Lee; director Park Chan-wook; actors Lee Byung-hun, Lee Min-jung and Lee Jung-jae; and singer Kwon Ji-yong.

 

From Hollywood, Noah Centineo, who appeared in the Netflix film "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" (2021), and Ansel Elgort, star of the film "Baby Driver" (2017), will also attend.

 

Through the event, CJ plans to introduce global figures from the cultural and arts sectors to a broad range of Korean content, including film, music and art, as well as the wider K-lifestyle encompassing food and beauty.
