SEOUL, July 14 (Yonhap) -- Festival, which experiments on implementing new changes through classical music “HIC ET NUNC” will kick off in August 16 until September 6 at Seoul Arts Center in Seocho district in Seoul, Lotte Concerthall in Songpa district in Seoul, and more.
Phrase “HIC ET NUNC” which means here and now in latin, is a music festival held by globally known chamber orchestra “Sejong Soloists”
“HIC ET NUNC” festival which marks its 5th anniversary will feature 7 of the main performances, with 1 pre event and more.
“Young Virtuoso” series which introduces young upcoming musicians will feature South Korean violist, Lee Hwa-yun who won the Yuri Abramovich Bashmet international viola competition in 2013, and pianist Lim Ju-hee who performed with London Symphonic orchestra, and Seoul Philharmonic orchestra.
Also composer Paul Salerni will showcase his piece “Korean Meal table” about South Korean meal table in Agust 22 at Ilshin Hall in Yongsan district in seoul.
Concertmaster Frank Huang violinist, Philip Quint and Cellist Sara Sant’Ambrogio will perform together on the stage of gala concert happening on August 31.
In 2021, “HIC ET NUNC” showcased their attempt to create a new metaverse. This year “HIC ET NUNC” will issue NFTs throughout the festival.
Combination of the music source of Niccolo Paganini’s “Violin Caprice” played by Antonio Stradivari’s violin “Cobbett” from 1683 and the 3D modeled version of the instrument will be issued throughout the festival and will be sold.
