SEOUL, August 4 (Yonhap) -- Director Park Chan-wook is selected as the winner of this year’s “LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) Art + Film Gala” award, Italian luxury brand Gucci announced on Thursday.

Director Park was selected as the recipient along with U.S. artist Helen Pashgian.

Art+ Film Gala is an annual event to honor the legacy of those who promoted the development of modern art and visual art and to raise funds for its management. Gucci has been sponsoring this event for 11 years. This year’s event will be held on Nov. 5.
