SEOUL, Aug. 7 (Yonhap) -- "BTS The City Arirang - New York," an offline fan event for K-pop supergroup BTS, illuminated some of New York City's most iconic landmarks, BigHit Music said Friday.

The event, which concluded Monday (U.S. time), was centered around MetLife Stadium, where the group's concerts were held, and expanded to major landmarks including Grand Central Terminal, Rockefeller Center, Times Square and the Korean Cultural Center New York.

Rockefeller Center's observation deck, "Top of the Rock," was transformed with the "The City Arirang" theme, with BTS' music played throughout the venue.

At Times Square, a large-scale dance performance brought together a well-known local dance crew, residents and tourists. The Korean Cultural Center New York hosted an "Arirang Theater," a light-stick making experience and various sponsor booths.

"Through this project, we confirmed the potential of an interactive content model that connects concerts with city landmarks and local cultural infrastructure," BigHit Music said.

BTS is continuing its "ARIRANG" world tour.
