SEOUL, Aug. 11 (Yonhap) -- Changbin of K-pop boy group Stray Kids donated 100 million won to Samsung Medical Center on his birthday Tuesday to support pediatric and adolescent patients and their families, his agency JYP Entertainment said.

The donation will be split equally, with 50 million won going toward medical expenses for pediatric and adolescent patients and the remaining 50 million won supporting emotional care programs for patients' families.

"I was able to mark my birthday with a meaningful act of giving thanks to the immense love I have received from my fans," Changbin said through his agency. "I sincerely hope that my heart reaches those who need help and becomes a small source of hope and warm comfort."

Changbin has continued to give back, including by donating emergency relief funds following the devastating earthquake in Turkiye and Syria in 2023 and making a donation for pediatric and adolescent patients on his birthday last year.
