SEOUL, Oct. 19 (Yonhap) -- Domestic broadcasting companies are receiving profits after Netflix posted their third-quarter "Surprise Report" on Wednesday.
The stock price of AStory is being traded at 24,400 won, 19.32% up from previous day, as of 9:05 a.m. this morning at KOSDAQ stock market.
AStory is the production company of hit drama series "Kingdom" and "Extraordinary Attorney Woo."
Other companies related to broadcasting contents are also on the rise, such as Samhwa Networks [046390] (15.67%), Keyeast [054780] (12.78%), Contenttree JoongAng [036420] (5.87%), Chorokbaem Media [047820] (4.16%), Studio Dragon [253450] (2.57%)
Netflix reported the addition of 2.41 million net global subscribers on Wednesday.
This is more than double the adds the company had projected a quarter ago. Among the new subscribers, 1.43 million were from Asia and Pacific area.
