SEOUL, April 24 (Yonhap) -- CJ Olive Young said Friday it will run a "survival beauty" campaign through July in response to climate change-driven trends of earlier and longer summers.
"Survival beauty" refers to a growing trend focused on protecting and managing skin under extreme heat and high humidity. It reflects consumer demand for comprehensive care addressing multiple concerns such as heat, excess oil and skin troubles, beyond basic UV protection.
Olive Young selected 120 beauty and wellness products under four key summer themes: UV care, trouble care, oil and sweat control, and cooling care.
In June and July, when summer reaches its peak, the company plans to offer these "survival beauty" items at discounted prices through its major promotional events, including "Olive Young Sale" and "Olive Young Pick."
An Olive Young official said the campaign was designed to help customers navigate products across categories in response to evolving skin concerns caused by climate change, adding that the company will continue strengthening its data-driven curation to meet increasingly diverse consumer needs.
