SEOUL, Sept. 15 (Yonhap) -- K-pop mega girl group BLACKPINK will be releasing second full album "BORN PINK" on Friday at 1 p.m.
BLACKPINK member ROSE, in Q & A released by YG Entertainment on Thursday. said, "We wanted to express true image of BLACKPINK like the title of the album 'BORN PINK," adding, "We can say for sure we have created music that have never been experienced with our creative imagination,"
"BORN PINK" is composed of eight tracks including the title song "Shut Down."
The title song "Shut Down" is sampled from "La Campanella" composed by Niccolo Paganini, a legendary Italian violinist in the 19th century, and topped with trendy hip-hop beat.
Jennie said, "I hope the emotions and thrills we felt when we first heard this song can also be delivered to people who listen to it."
Lisa said, "We just looked at each other with no sound when we first listened to the beginning of the chorus," adding, "We said 'This is the title song' with our eyes."
BLACKPINK will go on world tour in the order of Seoul, North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania in Oct. 15-16.
Tour in North America was initially scheduled for only 10 concerts in seven cities, including Houston on October 29, Atlanta on November 2, Hamilton on November 6 and 7, Chicago on November 10 and 11, Newark on November 14 and 15, and LA on November 19.
YG Entertainment has announced that two more concerts, Dallas on October 28 and Atlanta on November 3, will be held after fans requested for additional concerts.
