SEOUL, May 16 (Yonhap) -- Actor Ma Dong-seok vowed to deliver more intense actions and "continue to explore new attempts" in the upcoming 5th-8th installment of the movie series "The Roundup." 

 

The fourth and latest episode of the action flick has set a record as the first Korean film actor to achieve a 'triple 10 million' milestone this week. 

 

On the 16th, Ma Dong-seok posted on social networking services (SNS), saying, "Episodes 1-4 were the first act, and episodes 5-8 will comprise the second act. While the first act was a mix of entertainment, action, and historical drama, the second act will delve deeper into the action thriller genre, presenting something completely new."

 

He continued, "Ma Seok-do is someone who stands against injustice with a resounding blow, and (his act) gives some small comfort to those who are living diligently -- Knowing this, Ma Seok-do will continue to run."

 

The fourth installment of "The Roundup," starring and produced by Ma Dong-seok, surpassed 10 million cumulative viewers the previous day, joining the ranks of 10-million-viewer films following the second and third installments. The total audience for episodes 1-4 exceeds 40 million.

 

Regarding this achievement, Ma Dong-seok said, "The fourth miracle has arrived," expressing sincere gratitude to all the audience members for the results they achieved.
