SEOUL, Mar. 21 (Yonhap) -- South Korean veteran actors Kwon Sang-woo and Kim Hee-won will co-star as the Han River police force chasing after the secrets of various incidents and accidents occurring on the riverside.

The actors have been slated to appear in Disney+’s upcoming original series “Han River,” which will be available for international viewing in the second half of this year, the streaming service confirmed Monday.

The forthcoming series will follow the story of the Han River Police Force, which is supposed to protect the River, getting embroiled in a criminal case on the riverside.

In the series, Kwon will suit up as the hot-tempered police Han Doo-jin, while Kim will play the role of his colleague Lee Chun-seok, who is rather calm and soft-hearted.

The duo will be featured in the series, which marks their second co-starring work, following the 2019 film “The Divine Move 2: The Wrathful.”

Alongside the duo, the budding actress Bae Da-bin and actor Shin Hyun-seung will also be joining to play the Han River police force. In the meantime, Lee Sang-yi has been slated to appear as Ko Ki-seok, who will add tension and thrill to the plotline.

“We will realistically portray the Han River Police Force, which works hard to protect the safety of us citizens alongside the River where we enjoy leisure sports. Our drama series will also show other sides of the Han River that may be unfamiliar to many.”

The release date or teaser photo has not yet been unveiled.
