SEOUL, September 5 (Yonhap) -- BLACKPINK establishes yet another world record as the end boss of the K-Pop girl group. 


BLACKPINK's YouTube channel surpassed 80 million subscribers on Monday at 4:38 a.m., YG Entertainment announced on Monday. 
 
YG Entertainment said, "This is the first and highest number among all artists around the world, and it took about 6 years and 3 months for this result after opening the channel."


Blackpink entered the "Top 5 most subscribed YouTube channels" in July 2020, the first ever for a non-English artist, and they one after another surpassed Ariana Grande, Eminem, Ed Sheeran and Marshmello's subscribers number. 
 
In September of last year, BLACKPINK surpassed Justin Bieber's subscribers and became the number one YouTube subscriber among artists worldwide.
 
BLACKPINK YouTube channel videos have surpassed 26 billion cumulative video views. And 33 videos have over 100 million views. 


The music video for the title song "DDU-DU DDU-DU" from BLACKPINK's first mini album "SQUARE UP" exceeded 1.9 billion views. 
 
Other than that, "Kill This Love" has 1.6 billion views, "Boombayah" has 1.4 billion views, and "As if It's Your Last" has 1.2 billion views. 


BLACKPINK will be releasing their second album "BORN PINK" on September 16. They will hold Seoul concerts on October 15 and 16, and go on an international tour including North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania in sequence.
