SEOUL, June 15 (Yonhap) -- The Pinkfong Company said Monday it has partnered with Amazon's children's subscription service Amazon Kids Plus to produce an original animated series based on its next-generation intellectual property franchise "Bebefinn."
Titled "Big Book of Bebefinn," the musical animation series will consist of 18 episodes, each running seven minutes.
The series follows curious protagonist Finn as he learns about the world through everyday experiences such as riding a bicycle, visiting a hospital and trying new foods.
The Pinkfong Company said the series uses a memory album as its central motif to warmly portray moments of childhood growth.
"It features not only popular songs from the existing 'Bebefinn' franchise but also a large number of new original soundtracks to enhance immersion," the company said.
The company added that the new project will mark a turning point in expanding "Bebefinn" beyond its existing short- and mid-form YouTube content into a long-form series with a more developed narrative.
"With stronger storytelling and character development, we aim to elevate 'Bebefinn' into a global premium IP," it said.
First unveiled in 2022, "Bebefinn" has amassed 58 billion cumulative views and 80 million subscribers on YouTube.
Last month, the company also held the interactive pop-up event "Bebefinn Dreamland" at Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul to mark Family Month.
